While we are working on our final projects, Bret Victor, a programmer who works on many kinds of interactive software, came to our study session and told us about his projects.
He introduced us to some projects he made:
As it is in the photos, users can explore coding through a more visualized way, which is very helpful for people learning programming. It is also an artistic way of illustrating the process of coding.
A cool thing in the speech was how he started to learn programming at the age of 7, starting in a library. Maybe I should go grab a book and just start too 😀
I really appreciate this chance to meet Bret Victor and learn about this new perspective of future programming.
Also thank to our teacher, Sherol Chen, who contacted and invited him.
